At Tumwater Baptist Church, our desire is simple:to lift up the lamp of the Word of God for all the world to see.

We believe the Bible isn’t just background for church life — it’s the foundation for it. That’s why our teaching is rooted in careful, verse-by-verse study of Scripture, helping people understand what God has said and how it shapes everyday life. Whether you’ve studied the Bible for years or are opening it seriously for the first time, our goal is to make God's life-giving Word understandable and clear.

Our church is a multi-generational family growing together in faith. You’ll find longtime members alongside young families, students, and people newly exploring Christianity. Sunday mornings reflect real life in the Northwest — some people wear jeans and Seahawks jerseys, and the occasional person might even wear a suit, and everyone is welcome as they are. We’re not focused on appearances or trends, but on growing in Christ together.

Worship at Tumwater Baptist blends both historic and contemporary expressions of praise as we continue developing and strengthening this area of ministry. Our focus is not on performance, but on directing our hearts toward God and grounding our lives in His truth. We provide nursery care for young children.

More than anything, we want to be a church where people are known, encouraged, and equipped — learning to follow Christ faithfully at home, at work, and in our community here in the South Sound and beyond.
